Today Megan and I went to Landyachtz Longboards and got some new longboards. We both got completes because a) Megan didn’t really have any preference in parts and b) I’m cheap so I basically got the cheapest set up for freeriding.
My set up and costs:
- 2011 Wolfshark with a 9two5 graphic - $100
- Bear Grizzly 852s - $40
- 70 mm Mini Zombies 82a - $40
- Bear Space ball Abec 7 Bearings - $20
- freeride gloves (medium) - $34.82
- Taxes - $28.18
- Grand total came to exactly $263.00
I’m pretty sure Megan’s set-up is pretty much the same other than the fact that her deck is the Topspeed 34 and her wheels are 80a Monster Hawgs. I chose the parts, but Megan just picked her complete off the wall and I have no idea how much hers was but it was about $260. I begged her not to get a pintail because she’ll regret it in the future. I bought a pintail when I first got into longboarding and it was the biggest mistake I made.
Thanks to all of you who have given me tips on what type of sliding I should start off with. Any more tips? Leave a comment below or in my ask.
